Powerpopens nya stjärna Power Pops New Star - Scott til Death! The fact that America always has had a great tradition when it comes to power pop is something that has hardly passed anyone unnoticed. The latest of these stars is Scott Sudbury whose music can be described as a mix between Cheap Trick, The Shoes and Enuff Z' Nuff. His self-released debut CD Static On My Radio has sold close to 16,000 copies, this can be seen as a good sign. The debut Static On My Radio is one whose contents can cause one real orgasm with its melodies and fast songs. And from the first bars of Scott's follow up work demo, although not yet finished, there doesn't seem to be any problem or doubt with the new material either. It Rocks! I can't wait for the moment at which the follow up to "Static" is complete. Judging from the advance demo that I have been given there really should not be a problem getting a deal with a major record company. Just when it will be released is still too early to say, but we will have the details. Scott says it will be released even if he has to do it himself. The big interest in Scott comes from frequently performing and with songs like "Here I Go Again" being played on several radio stations around the US and in Europe. Hopefully everything will work out OK and Scott's new CD will be here shortly. Tobias Helmersson/Fuzzbox Magazine May 2002 |
